Default Spare tire placement in coupe

I thought earlier coupes had a space for the spare tire under the rear
baggage. I am wrong?. Just got a new coupe and the spare is sitting
on top. No room for anything!

I didn't know you could even get a spare.

Pretty sure I don't have a spare. Just a inflation kit. Did you specifically order a spare?

If you order the spare from the factory, you don't get the tire inflation kit and the spare does sit on top of the floor. It doesn't fit underneath.

I ordered the spare tire as an accessory so I have both the inflation kit and the spare. I don't normally carry the spare - it sits in my garage - but I wanted it for long road trips just in case.

Interesting. I imagine the spare must be huge. Those old school donuts wouldn't be able to support the car from hitting the ground.

Definitely bolted down to the trunk floor, not underneath. Not a great pic, but the $380 "Space Saver" option doesn't leave much room for the golf clubs.

Yes, this.. I have the same set up, order separately.
