Same phone as when I had the Bimmer. As for the OS, current. Worked fine in the other car, so presuming it has to do with the Jag.

OS version shouldn't matter unless you're living w/ an ancient iPhone running OS 6 or 7. I've had my F-Type through 2 years, 2 different iPhones and about 5-6 versions of the OS going back to 8. They all coupled and functioned equally well.

For anyone curious, got this fixed recently. After several trips to the dealer, got a service advisor who took the time to understand the issue and worked to help source the root cause - including calling service techs and the service manager from my car while idling in the parking lot. Ultimately proved to be an issue with the mic not being secured, but bouncing around.
