Is there one for California? I’ve looked and couldn’t find one.
I mean it’s a good cause but if it would help me out in California then all the better.
It is a local organization in Houston and it provides a very nice window sticker. Does excellent work, and the police officers are obviously strong supporters of this group. I would check in your area for a similar group.

Contextually, I'd imagine this is very similar to the 11-99 foundation, which supports the families of fallen CHP officers.
An 11-99 donor may get some goodwill from California LEOs, but most people seem to just buy the knock-off license plate frames (don't expect this to get you much).
The effectiveness of Radar Detectors relies upon the ability of the driver to properly decode those beeps, blaps, and lights. Any tool is only as good as the operator. That being said I've been through every detector imaginable, from the Escorts and Uniden's of the 80's upgrading all the time until the ALP system I currently run and love. (Passports, Cobras, Beltronics, etc.)
A few points:
1st) If you are using a windshield mount in a Jaguar, be sure you don't have a radar blocking windshield (many JLR shields have heating elements embedded in them that drastically reduce range.)
2nd) Any radar detection system will benefit from the concurrent use of Waze.
3rd) Proper use of cars positioned in front of you will help shield direct LEO reads. Find a "rabbit" (a speeder) and let them run 1/4 mile ahead of you, just in case.
4th) Raindrops look like footballs to a radar gun, so if there is medium rain you don't have to worry, radar cant get a read.
5th) If you get the ALP system you can confuse LEO laser signals long enough to slow down without allowing a read (a user-set 1-5 seconds). This has saved me from at least 5 tickets here in town, where all they use is Laser.
6th) Get the best Detection system you can afford, it will pay for itself if you are a habitual speeder. The best out there will allow for remote install so you don't have to take it off your windshield when you park (if you don't you're inviting a brick through your window.)
7th) Before I got my Jag and ALP, I was getting a ticket a year. I avoided many pleads of Guilty and No Contest by simply showing up to court in person, and if the LEO did not show the case was dismissed (this happened 4 of 5 times here in Austin). If the LEO did show up, I'd simply elect for Defensive Driving, and after a year of no tickets the ticket is dismissed anyway. My record is spotless, which also helps when you try to talk your way out. Respect the officer (Yessir, Yesmam) and always show your hands. If they ask do you know how fast you were going, say "I'm not certain, exactly." This is an honest statement as there is ALWAYS some speedo inaccuracy, one way or the other. It will read faster on worn tires, for instance.
Buy an ALP , you will not be disappointed. The best in the biz, bar none. I am not affiliated (they are in Croatia), but this engineer invented some of the first parking sensors, which the ALP system IS to any LEO that asks. They will proximity alert to keep you from hitting walls or cars while parking. An ALP system properly integrated looks factory-installed and does not raise any suspicions from LEOs.
ALP also has a locking security feature...if the unit is pulled for forensics it "Locks Up" and LEO cannot tell if you were in Jamming, or Parking Mode. Nice!
You can see the netradar head just above the Growler, the two smaller Laser transmitters are to each side in the grille. There is also a discrete rear radar and rear laser transmitters available to add to the rear for 360 Degree protection, if you want everything covered.

***Knocks on wood*** No tickets in my F Type yet. I got one on 405 in Bothell WA a couple of years ago in my STi, but I hired an attorney and it was dismissed. Biggest things if you're pulled over is be polite, but DO NOT admit to speeding - not even by 1 mph. You don't know how fast you were going; you were watching other traffic around you; you were driving with the flow of traffic; you though your speed was appropriate for conditions; etc. I'm not saying it's fair or right, but normally if you hire an attorney to contest the ticket, it goes away. That may cost a bit more than the actual ticket, but you can't put a price on a clean driving record the next time you're pulled over, and the insurance savings is much greater.

I have close to the same setup. NetRadar front and rear with two regular ALP heads plus one TX head in the front for Lidar. I’ve been running that for 2 or 3 years now. Lots of Ka band and a fair mount of Lidar here in Southern Cal. Tried stuffing a redline up by the rear view mirror where the cutouts are for transponders back in 2017, but the range was severely attenuated compared to the huge range I get from the DSP NetRadar.

In the UK (and increasingly across Europe) we are plagued with "Safety" Cameras to remotely and automatically enforce speed limits. The first I would know of a speeding offence would be around 14 days after the event with a fine notification in the post. There is no logical arguement that this retrospective action has anything to do with safety or is anything more than a revenue gathering exercise.

I quite like the way speeding is enforced in this country, it's clearly a money raising exercise, but with the exception of the odd Skoda Octavia, it seems very easy to avoid tickets if you have a little familiarity of the road or you're paying attention.
Estelline, Texas. Not only will you get buggered by a speeding ticket (worst trap in the USA) but evidently there were two different/ recent Police Chiefs charged with molesting their arrests, so here you'll evidently get buggered in the backseat too if you have *****.
