Spoiler stuck up

Spoiler stuck up - I can hear the mechanism not working
It moves up and down a cm doesn’t want to come down.
yes I’ve kept the hold button down
its annoying. Cars been stood for a while….
it wasn’t working properly yesterday neither it came up and then did come down it’s a 2016 model.
obviously got a light on the dash saying spoiler not working contact dealership…
as I said the mechanisms trying to work but appears to be getting stuck… might use some WD40 on it tomorrow and see if it helps??
Any other suggestions ?

I manually raised the spoiler on my 1 month old 2016 F Type S Convertible (using the center console button) for cleaning, wiped under it with a damp rag, and now it wont go down. I tried the button, the spoiler actuates and moves a centimeter or so but does not go down. I see no obstruction. I drove the car thinking it might lower the spoiler automatically but this didn't work.
Does anyone have any ideas? Or is there a truly manual way to lower the stupid thing? The nearest dealer is three hours away so troubleshooting myself is the first line of defense...
Thanks!

I cleaned under mine the other day and same thing. Just need to hold the button down. Another method if that didn't work for some reason is to start driving. I wonder if it would automatically retract? I may have to try that.
