Sport seats vs. performance seats

In my quest for my first F Type coupe (2017-2019) I have discovered that pre-2018 sport or performance seats are the most comfortable for me. Were the performance seats in pre-2018 F Type exactly the same seat as the sport seat but with lumbar and side bolster adjustments? So they should feel the same? After 2018 the two seat styles are completely different and I have found the performance seats to be uncomfortable and there are not many many cars out there with sport seats. I have considered the possibility of buying an F Type and exchanging out the seats if they don’t work but that could be a real hassle. The beat goes on…

Have you found them uncomfortable by just sitting in them or while test driving? IME, seats that feel comfortable in the showroom can be anything but after half an hour or so of driving, and vice versa.

In the 2013 - 2017 models there were only two types of seat, "sport" and "performance" where sport was the base seat and performance was the upgraded seat.
Very different seats so not "exactly the same with lumbar and side bolster ..."
Lots of other threads/posts around here discussing the differences.
