Default Standard Factory Warranty vs CPO 2 year

Do you know if the CPO warranty covers the preventative yearly or ~15k mile usual service (oil change, filter changes, >100 point check)?

For my 2016, I paid an extra 1200 for the 7th year of coverage since service in date. Largely because I thought all preventative scheduled/recommended maintenance was covered until that expiry date.

It looks like my standard factory warranty expires on 7 Aug 2021, and my CPO 2 year J002 warranty expires 07 Aug 2023. After doing a yearly service at my dealer in October, I asked how many more services would be covered. Gentleman said two (October 2020 and October 2021). I wondered why the October 2022 service would not be covered...

Am not good at reading T&Cs but this made me sort of wonder what the true benefit of CPO is apart from the added confidence at point of sale. I thought at least one more service would be covered before the CPO's expiration..

Any clarification would be much appreciated!

CPO does not cover maintenance.

I received the first yearly service, but it was not part of the CPO, it was of the haggling.
Wish I had haggled for one more. They just charged me $400 to replace the cabin filters.

They can't be serious!
There is only one cabin/pollen filter, it is in the engine bay, and it truly is 60 seconds worth of child's play to change. It's also fairly cheap to buy a new one on Fleabay etc.
I would be having stern words with them (whoever they are) about this.

Actually, that also includes 2 other filters. One behind each front wheels. But even at that, I found it obscenely expensive.

That's not quite so bad then, the two filters "behind the front wheels" are the engine air filters which aren't cheap (around $45 US each) and they are a PITA to change so a fair bit of labour involved.

Get a print out of the computer CPO expiration date, its a known scam for dealers to say they paid for year 7 then not doing it. You'll get no help from Jag Corporate other than agreeing with you in principle and you will have to sue for warranty work in the last year. They did that to me and other forum members.

The CPO only covers "sudden and unexpected mechanical or electrical failure." Thats it. Its been worthless to me even with known factory issues.

"CERTIFIED PRE-OWNED WARRANTY*

This limited warranty is added on top of the vehicle’s new car warranty.** Using only Jaguar Land Rover Genuine Parts, this limited warranty covers repairs for sudden and unexpected mechanical or electrical failure, and work is only undertaken by Jaguar Trained Technicians. Nothing less. The warranty covers the vehicle for up to 7 years / 100,000 miles, whichever comes first."

In a nut shell, CPO is a way to get you to bring the car to a dealer to pay 2x for routine repairs instead of driving or towing it to someplace reasonable.
