Super helpful - I was looking for something like this. Thanks.

For those of us only moderately mechanical would someone point out on the coolant system diagram that OzXFR posted the numbers of what would be the flanged pipes? I have an early 2017 which I assume would have the flanged pipes but do not see them so want to be certain I am looking at the right ones. The pipe replacement is not listed on my service history but my car was a Jaguar exec car so I suppose it could have been done and not recorded properly. Thanks for the help.

Default Easy to check, really

You can check your pipes right under the hood in front of the engine cover. I belive that's the "Y" pipe. The newer version has no flanges, see my post above. # 12. Photo on left is flanged pipe, photo on right shows flanged AND "round"/ New version pipes

The main one, the one Valerie refers to and which sits front/top of the engine in plain sight, is #10 "water supply tube".
I am sure there is another flanged one underneath that tube but underneath the supercharger but I can't see it on the diagram.
The other obvious one is at the rear of the supercharger, #16 "heater supply manifold".

Thank you Valerie and OzXFR, that helped a lot. I do have the flanged hoses. Does anyone know if there is a TSB on this - I want to be armed when I go to the dealer.

Maybe A TSB but their engineering blunder is completely on your dime. Just be proud they allowed you buy the car. Good ol Jag.

I'm like a magpie, I grab anything shiny. For those interested, here's a link to my Dropbox repository of F-type docs, most of which were harvested from here. Includes a few of TheRock's writeups, hoping he doesn't mind...

Saw something this weekend that reminded me of this thread: a giant cloud of steam behind a Jaguar XJ. After a bit, the cloud vanished, meaning that the leak magically fixed itself, or the cooling system had finally become completely empty. Traffic prevented me from flagging him down.

Thanks DJS, although I am sure I have two chances of getting those pipes replaced free of charge (I have the original old crappy seamed pipes). Wish I had known about it when I had the SC coupler replaced under warranty, it could/should have been done then.
Page 8 of that pdf shows the lower pipe I referred to earlier (the one I could not find on the diagram), they call it the "lower coolant outlet pipe".

I had the privilege of paying for the SC coupler, cooling pipes and a water pump, which they said was just starting to leak. Throw in new tires, rotors and pads, and diff fluid change - it was an expensive day! But car has been great, 2000 mile road trip in 3 weeks.
