Unhappy Sticky interior

The area around my windows button, the rubbery plastic, on the driver side has gotten sticky. Does anyone else have this issue and know of any fix that might fix it?

I had an issue with my old Mercedes SL where vinyl door handles deteriorated and became sticky. The only permanent solution is to replace the part, but cleaning with rubbing alcohol kept it in check.

Assuming you already tried all usual cleaning methods, and you have an early F-type that have seen a lot of sun, this could be happening to you.

I had sticky buttons, had them changed just before the warranty ran out. I still have a sticky area behind the interior door handle now.

wow that's a surprise on a modern Jag...i thought sticky buttons only exist on Italians - lambo ferrari and maserati, all have that problem...the coating deteriorates from heat and UV and becomes sticky. Many tried to clean it with goo-gone and scrub the hell out of it. Use denatured alcohol works too but use it at your own risk...you might clean off the coating on top and lose the matte texture. There are a couple of companies out there that restore italian sticky buttons and parts, but i am not sure they have template for f type yet since it's pretty new
