Plums, I think you are right. It makes a lot of sense in today's ECO world. Please give me the 60's!!! We are all going to freeze in the dark!! I just cannot fight this one so I will keep my maintainer on the battery.

I'm sure it's been covered before but when parked in your home garage do most lock the vehicle or leave it unlocked? Is there a difference in battery draw?

I always lock it (it's not like it takes any effort..just touch the handle.) Seems to go into hibernation more quickly and therefore less battery drain. Never use a tender, never have a low battery warning unless I've been playing with the OBDII. Now I just automatically disconnect the battery for a few seconds after I've tapped into the computer to reset the battery management.
