I'm sure they he expected I'd never see it, which I wouldn't have had this great new option not become available. He did get it on centered and straight the 2nd time.

Last night I removed the JLR-supplied front plate bracket to bumper plug the front bar in preparation for arrival of my Sho-n-go on Wed. I was horrified to find not 2, but 4 holes. Worse yet, the two top holes were uneven, with one being right on the corner of the vertical and horizontal surfaces. Clearly, whomever put it on at the dealer drilled in the wrong place, said "uh-oh" and then re-drilled two more holes lower..

Now the good recovery part, I called the GM at my dealer, and he agreed to make it right, so I will have an unblemished bar soon.

Slick solution, Buick! I ordered mine Sunday afternoon and got it today. Great service! It took just a few minutes to install with most of the time finding the right tool. A simple and clean setup. I will probably leave mine off most of the time, but it is nice to know I can slip it on any time in seconds.
Here it is on my extremely dusty car and a bad photo with an old 60’s vintage plate. I ordered new personalized 60’s legacy plates that look the same. I believe the CA DMV just started going into production for people who ordered them in 2013, so who knows when I will get mine.

"...I know some of you questioned if a single bolt was strong enough but rest assured,it most certainly is...,...only going into threaded plastic so use a 1/4 drive ratchet and once the bolt seats against the surface,it's only a 1/2 turn to snug tightly it and you're done."

Heh, I'm more than a little skeptical when a new product comes along. I've been looking at so many plate hanger designs (including a few that are collecting dust in my garage) that when I came across something like Mike's product here it was, well, like you said earlier, "...so far from the norm it's almost unbelievable."
So once again, thanks for your numerous posts, promoting the forum discount and just plain doin' a bunch of legwork for us. [And Mike, if you're reading this, I also join others in wishing you, Mashell and 'STO N SHO' all the best. May the "Order Gods" heap a bunch your way at SEMA 2015.]

Got mine today, took less than 5 minutes to install. Seems pretty sturdy to me so far.
The only thing I'm slightly worried about is since its so low, if it does fall off it could do some serious damage to the under carraige. I don't think that'll happen based on how sturdy it is, but lets see how this thing performs now that its on more cars out there.
Pretty well engineered piece of kit though and super simple to install. Good job Mike and I'm so glad I procrastinated and didn't install the front license plate on the grill! Thanks for the tip buickcar
