Been working on these bad boys this weekend; should let me drive with a more comfortable hand position.

Hopefully you've got an expert understanding of CAD, took a friend about 20 hours to get the design right, and multiple plastic test pieces.

Gonna put this on my list of SolidWorks projects. I think I'll try a different profile...

You mind sharing the mounting point/area dimensions and relations?

Also, how do they feel compared to aluminum? I assume there are 3D printed abs? Great little project and good job!

I can send you the CAD file if you like, but I don't have specific measurements written down.

These are 3D printed aluminum, so they feel pretty much the same as the stock aluminum ones would. However my original paddles were plastic.

Yes, not surprised. My brother has done some cool CADD and laser work so want to show him this. Would be neat to try if he has the time. Again, nice work and thanks for sharing!

If you don't mind, that would be great. I promise not to reproduce your design and will only use it for reference and measurements of the mounting points.

Stohlen those paddles look stellar. You should make a few sets and sell them. If the price was reasonable i'm sure myself and others would buy a few.

Going on a week and a half of the Jag in the shop for a failed radiator fan. Expectation is to get the car back Monday (maybe) which will have been 12 days total. While in there they are also replacing both aluminum kick plates, which started peeling up from the plastic surround.

Stohlen, how many miles at failure? Where there symptoms in advance, excess noise, etc. or was it sudden?

Well... I noticed the failure at about 10k when the vehicle started overheating after sitting in traffic for 30 minutes. The fan wouldn't turn on at all, so no noise. However, I almost never get stuck in traffic in this vehicle for long periods of time, so it could have been this way all summer for all I know.

The Jaguar dealer said they've seen this before.

Took my vehicle to the dealer for some warranty work without the engine cover installed and this is how it came back to me:

I like the non-AWD version better, it looks nicer.

I would assume it is an officially licensed jaguar hat, so you could get it at any dealer or online.

Just so I'm clearly understanding. You took it in and they put a new cover on it, never asked you where the original one was and didn't charge you for the new one they installed?
