Filling the tank is always a good idea but whether it's pure gas or E10 makes little or no difference.
Modern cars (mid-70s onwards) do not have vented gas tanks. They, and the filler caps are sealed meaning the no air or moisture can enter to contaminate the fuel during storage.
E10 fuel can easily last a year or more in a sealed container.
