Default STP Tuning Still In Business?

Sent them an email a couple of days ago about their Vengeance package, but haven't heard anything back yet. Just tried giving them a call, but the phone just rings. Anyone know what's up with these guys?

I heard a rumor about who actually owned STP tuning and the reliability of their products/services. For me, it makes me want to steer clear of anything from them.

FType17 is a forum member here and said he was the owner of STP. You might pm him although he hasn't posted here since November of 2020. Maybe STP is gone.

Some general info:
STP supplies Viezu tunes

The IP for Vengeance package was sold, therefore it is no longer in production. Nonetheless it was exclusively for the v6 AWD.

It was meant to optimize the total performance of the car. There is a good bit of information on the forum as to what was done. I think The package cost around 35k? A pretty good price with all things considered.. A dealer would probably charge 35k in labor alone lol.

Lastly, if you were willing to spend a bit of money (10-15k) there may be an alternative way to substantially increase performance

I never saw any actual Dyno results on Venegance that were published or heard of anyone who ever got the package. I wonder if it was a one off , vaporware or a car that was just tuned..

There is a post on this forum with a 1/4 mile time slip of 10.6s; so at the very least it was a one off.
Id say more likely there were a small number of cars that got the complete package

I was interested in having them rebuild my engine, or at the very least ordering forged pistons from them, but I can't get them to pick up the phone. Oh well.

There appeared to be a lot of annomosity with the owner of stp and a lot of members on this group (me included).
You couldn't say anything against him, his products or company without him jumping down your throat.
Everything he said was right even if you proved him wrong, saying that he was a very knowledgable bloke.

The vengeance package included boring; even if they sold forged pistons, it probably wouldn’t be the right size for you

So Ive read all of his posts, as well as all of other forum members posts, to learn about our platform. From an unbiased standpoint, a lot of the things he said were not well received, and often times he was correct. Many times he went out of his ways to share knowledge, after actually testing things, yet and still forum members with less expertise would argue... just to be right... or not to be wrong.

Prime Example:
1. Where to put meth injection nozzles

https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/f...r-meth-176656/

There are other examples... o2 sensors for cats, Intake performance gains.. etc. As far as saying things against his company, often times people would talk without any knowledge about it... from an owner standpoint I would defend my company as well

+1. The Vengeance, I believe, was built up to 3.7 liter displacement.

It was 3.4L. However it was said there is a 3.7L crate engine version to match the v8

I'd love to get some information on that, but again, no communication... which typically is a red flag as far as shops go. Nobody near me will work on this thing, they hear Jaguar and start shaking their head. For crying out loud, an engine block is an engine block.

I'd think that a few days delay would be forgivable given the current situation. I recall that the principal of the shop has an F-Type Facebook page. Not sure on that, but it's another avenue to check for information.

Mostly accurate information.
The Vengeance package was sold and installed exclusively on V6S AWD cars. The engine was indeed bumped up to 3.7L with a larger supercharger, forged pistons, and titanium rods plus a plethora of other upgrades ranging from a transmission upgrade to 900Nm to suspension work, including custom springs, recalibration of the shocks to anti-roll bars, brakes, and lightweight component swaps, forged 16lbs wheels etc.
7 cars were upgraded. All of the IP for this project was sold and an agreement prevented us from marketing, selling or manufacturing any of the components.
The package started at $35K, some members of this forum have joined me on a Rally and know quite well what the car can do.
The months of August and September were extremely busy because of Rallies, races and race support but I looked back at e-mails during that time and all messages were returned.

I recall specifically speaking with someone asking for an engine rebuild and I explained that it was not something we would entertain for a variety of reasons.

I was just made aware of this post so I apologize for the delay in answering.

Wasn’t there supposed to be an improved lower crank pulley too? Something doesn’t quite add up with details coming from STP. Seems odd there is no real information anywhere that correlates what they’ve claimed to develop.

Perhaps you missed the larger supercharger part... Supercharger angular speed (RPM) needs not to exceed the rated speed of the larger supercharger, additionally, it is dictated by a delicate balance of efficiency, volume of air and charge temperature. Discussing bolt ons (pulley swaps) is quite insignificant on builds like the Vengeance...

Yes, the stock supercharger is at its limit with the overdrive pulley, but is adequate for 3.0L. With a 23% increase in displacement a larger supercharger would be necessary.
