Stupid and incorrect conspiracy theory thread re: 4cyl and inline 6?
I am sure I am wrong....
Let's pretend the 4cyl is not a guarantee, and they are tinkering around with the possibility. a 4cyl can pack some punch, whatever personal opinion is (not counting the weight of this car) re: if appropriate for a F-Type.
But as the 4cyl has been seen, and it's bumping up against the inline 6 that they will be dropping in a year or so.... coupled with potential electric cars, what's your theory?
When I started this thread about a minute ago, I thought "Are they going to test a 4cyl to make it *slightly* more affordable at the base, knowing that options/add-ons can add $25K easily, to reposition the inline 6cyl as a classic marquee at a higher price? I realize that might not make sense, as an inline 6 should be far easier to make and service? Would it be cheaper or more expensive an engine that what exists now?
I am sort of wondering if that inline will reduce the "classic" sense of the Supercharged 6cyl Manual, not that I am looking 30 years into the future to know what's a collector's car (because I drive the crap out of mine, and happy about it).
So, for fun and speculation... are they just throwing stuff to the wall, or is this a greater positioning for the entire F-Type brand with a 4cyl, 6cyl, 8cyl + electric? They've been on point with their marketing and their brand building...
Are they still looking at the whole picture, or it's just me being rambly?
Here's some electric stuff:

What a fantastic thought... that would really make the most sense of what that thing is. Otherwise, we'll see a 2 stroke scooter F-Type soon. LOL
