Default Supersprint on a P300

I finally opened my wallet for a new Supersprint cat-back exhaust.
My goal is two part: First, the car with stock exhaust is whisper quiet, and not much different with active exhaust. I’d like a little more noise. While I’m not expecting the tone of a V6 or the intoxicating wail of a V8, this otherwise lovely 2.0 liter must have a sound of its own and I want to hear it.
Second: I own this car because it is very comfortable and exquisitely beautiful - except for one thing: that ugly monopipe exhaust outlet. The Supersprint has just what I was looking for - the chrome dual pipes.

I’ll report back in a few weeks with my evaluation.

I've got about 300 miles on this new exhaust and I could not be more pleased! It has a sound of its own now, and a bit more of it in active mode. Not too loud, not too quiet, just right. The car has a proper sports car look, as well - twin chrome center mount exhaust pipes- reminiscent an XKE from days of yore.

I've attached a few pics. The stock exhaust weights 46 lbs (21 kg) versus 36 lbs (16 kg) for the Supersprint. The SS parts were of top quality and workmanship. Everything fit well.

Let me add that Supersprint provided excellent customer service.

"Now that's what I'm talkin about."

Stock exhaust. Note: the huge muffler and the resonator.

Supersprint parts in shrink wrap. Smaller muffler and straight pipe - no resonator.

Stock.

Supersprint.

I see the muffler/resonator is now gone.

How does this affect the catalytic converter?

Backpressure?

ECU?

and most importantly: FACTORY WARRANTY ?

BEST !

RWS,
The cat converter and O2 sensor on the P300 are on the engine down pipe. The new exhaust is all downstream from that. No codes have popped up. Backpressure? Not sure. Less, I suppose.
Regarding factory warranty, I suppose if there were an exhaust related issue like a burned engine exhaust valve, I would have a problem, but I don’t expect that. The car has been trouble free for 2 years. I am willing to take the chance.

Default Rick and other members......

Here in Europe, we have installed several P300 Exhaust muffler's on the Jaguar F-Type sports car. None have encountered any issues over the past few years. We meticulously designed each and every exhaust system regardless of the make/model of the car, so it is absolutely perfect.
SuperSprint Italy has been designing exhaust systems for almost 70 years.
Thank you!
Roberto
