ok for the avoidance of doubt, you should see a yellow line like on this photo, this is from my old V8s but I've checked the SVR many times and mine is an MY18 model and you still get the yellow bar, if you don't have that (checked when the engine is cold and on a flat surface) I would suggest you have no oil or potentially a faulty oil sensor - This one in the photo had a faulty oil sensor as they took a reading three times on the same day and the bar was in a different place. either way, i wouldn't risk your engine if you don't see a yellow bar. get it checked asap

Yep, I check mine at least once a week and it looks the same as in the photo, except the top of the yellow line is exactly at the "Max" mark every single time.

The only thing I don't know is if they overfill it, which seemed to be a big issue with RWD's not having the same capacity as AWD, if your's says max how would you know if its over full? I have a peller pump so if it were that full i'd probably take some out just to see if it went down

If it's overfull the yellow line is meant to go over the Max mark and the oil level check is meant to show the message "Engine Oil Level Overfilled" per this text from the Owner's Handbook:
If the message Engine Oil Level Overfilled is displayed, seek qualified assistance immediately. Do not drive the vehicle as this will cause serious damage to the engine.

Agree, bar is on the left and scale is on the right. It is full bar, one notch short of max.

Also, JLR changed how it is presented. Old way was less confusing.

No. If it reaches the top line it will say overfilled instead of ok
