Thanks for the good information guys, especially IronMike! Would not have gone back to the dealer without this great information! I will soon be taking home my F-Type. I've posted the details in my welcome thread here.

Default Remove coat hook for more leg room

Has anyone tried removing the useless coat hook on the back of the seat to get another inch of leg room? I'm 6'1" 190 and would love another inch of tilt. LOVE my Jag just feel a little cramped.

I'd have to look again, but I believe the bottom area of the seat hits before that part unless you have it reclined like your are low ridin'.

+1. The hook sits in a recess in the back of the seat. Besides, the hook is only on the passenger seat and works well for hanging up the dry cleaning.

My car has a hook behind both seats.

My bad! Mine does too. Haven't moved the driver seat from the aft most position in 4 years. Sure enough, there's one hiding in the seat back recess.

6'4 235 in good shape.
I've taken in from PA to NC (400+ miles) and from NC to FL (400 miles) it's not horrible. Suspension is more of an issue for me and lower back on the long drives. I daily drove mine for a year and it isn't too big of an issue getting in an out as long as you have room to open the door all the way.
I feel like that first notch of the door opening can get very tight for me to get my legs turned around and out.
Sitting with bad posture you'll be able to put your knees on the dash easily. Sitting straight up your hair might be on the top a tad.
Summer days with top down and plenty of parking, I can get in and out just like my truck.
