Is there any inexpensive upgrades worth doing to the F Type?
This is my first Jaguar and so far love the car. It seems every car I have owned there was always some nice inexpensive upgrades that often owners find to do the their cars that may be subjective but to me added a great bang for the buck value. For example on my last toy car which was a Porsche 911 simply adding clear Euro side marker lights to replace the OEM orange ones made a wonderful change. I haven't seen nor read anything on the forums yet (I have only been here a few months) but wondered if anyone cared to share if they have done something reasonably priced. I was contemplating a dead pedal in the car but unsure if it would look right although I think this is the only car I haven't seen one in that I have owned.
I am planning on some motor upgrades shortly such as the Mina intake and pulley/tune but those are on hold for now since I am working on some other pricey projects. Plus I want to put some more miles on the F Type to get a good feeling of the current motor output before having done.

I can think of two off the top of my head:
1. Front Splash Guards - parts will run you around $100. Info at this thread - https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/f...guards-231957/
2. Rubber inserts for the cupholders. Without the inserts the metal bottom, while attractive quickly scratches. They are available on eBay, Amazon, Aliexpress etc. They cost under $10.
Here is a link to one set on Amazon with a logo dash mat for your phone as well:

Doesn’t come much cheaper than this:
Note: I added these quite early on in my ownership experience; we’re talking Oct 2014. (That’s when I still had the OEM Pirelli’s on and swapped them into Continental ExtremeContact DWS (and then the 06’s) and have never looked back).

1.) Remove Engine Cover - Cost $0
2.) Disable Start Stop - Cost - $0
3.) Install 6000k LED Interior bulbs - Cost ~$10 - $30
4.) Entry / Puddle Lights W/Logo - Cost - $10- $20
Other cheap(er) items to do if you choose to, depending on taste and preference....Wrap chrome pieces if you have them, different center wheel caps, battery reboot switch, brighter/whiter headlight HID bulbs, oil catch can, disable rear wing, aluminum pedals....

Cheap things I have done:
1. take engine cover off (for noise);
2. put BMC filters in (likewise, actually the boxes are hard to get at so I had mechanics do it, not so cheap);
3. debadge the rear, reposition the leaper and spray it black (very effective especially if you have black pack);
4. wrap the sills black (gives car more waist);
5. wrap A and C pillars black (flattens out greenhouse and looks pretty aggressive, some love it, some not so much);
6. replace interior LED's with blue (stops the junkies shooting up in your car).

A word of caution on these. If the caps are metal they can seize on the valve stems. A small dab of grease on the threads will prevent them from seizing.

The truth is that the F-Type is so satisfying as it comes (assuming that the owner has made the appropriate specification choices) that virtually nothing cries out for alteration.
On my fully optioned V6S I have disabled the irritating stop/start system...that took 4 minutes, including the opening and closing of the trunk, I have removed the engine cover to allow heat to disipate more easily (1.5 minutes), and I have fitted a CTEK battery maintainer (less that 10 minutes time, plus the cost of the unit) - this is a strongly suggested addition because these cars need full battery voltage to properly power the multiple electronic modules. Finally, I fitted Jaguar OEM valve caps to the wheels (4 minutes, but most of the time accounted for by moving from one wheel to another!).
These gorgeous beasts are addictively satisfying.

Do me a favor scm—as I did “lose” one early one (and why I actually have spares for my F-Type and my other cars)—can you kindly look to see it there’s a Jag in your vicinity which has my exact caps; and if one of them looks to be out of place? I’ll pay postage. Thanks mate.

One first mod I did was the hood vents. I live in a rather hot climate so off came the engine cover and I installed these vents. You can see them at: https://www.minagallery.com/jaguar-f...ack-2011-2016/
They have various iterations of them.

haha, when I got cf louvres for my XKR from Mina they send some "supercharged" stickers for them in red and silver. I used the red ones on that car and then popped the silver ones on this car. You might be able to get them from Minagallery.
Yours is looking very flash, I really like the front spoiler and bumperless grille. Maybe that will be my next mod, I dont think I will be getting rid of the car any time soon.
