Default Thinking about pulling the trigger but...

I am looking for a base jag f type coupe with Switchable active exhaust in the Socal area, actually finding it a bit difficult. The only car with essentially everything i could need and want is located in San Diego. MSRP is right, wheels, black pack, etc. Just not sure about the Italian Racing Red.

There is another car at the same dealer, which is Polaris white and looks great with the black pack and wheels, but no active exhaust:/.

I've been hearing that cars with the SAC equipped are actually louder than the base cars, so that is of great importance too me in a car like the F-type.

Opinions on how Italian racing red looks like in person? All opinions appreciated guys.

I could also wait it out a month and see what pops up on lots during april/may.

IRR is a very good color in person (if you can handle all the attention it gets you that is). See the picture post thread for a near about accurate feel. https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/f...-86517/page15/

I love Salsa Red on the convertible, but I think IRR is better on the coupe. Gorgeous.

I haven't received a single negative comment on IRR. Usually the first thing people will mention about the car. I find that it needs the black pack (which the car you linked has) to really make it pop. The chrome accents tend to wash out the color IMO.

And I think the chrome makes the IRR stand out...

Agreed, I prefer the chrome/silver look as well. It's not possible to wash out that color.

IRR is a very deep red, it changes a lot depending on the light. I normally would have never bought a red car or ordered red but IRR is definitely something special.

Both colors look good but I am definitely glad that I got IRR over white. But at this point I would wait for the 2016 to hit the lots and compare the two. Also prob better pricing.

If the Switchable Exhaust is that important to you, get the one with that option. You can always do a vinyl wrap to another color later if you decide you don't like the purchased color.

Wow that is stunning! I might 6-7 weeks and see what 2016's pop up on dealer lots. I'm afraid I won't get as good a deal as i can get now though...
For me personally, may be my age, but i definitely do think the black pack adds to the drama and depth of Italian racing red. I appreciate all the responses guys!

Now to think about waiting or not for 2016's....

That is an option, but i enjoy taking care of my paint and like when i open the hood and doors and see the same color going all around. If it comes down too it, i'll do it however. Thanks

Definitely get black pack with black rims. These silver rims show brake dust 3-4 days after a wash. But then that gives me an excuse to wash it weekly and have it really shine.

Actually, they don't. I coated them with Pinnacle Black Label Diamond Wheel Coating and it really does repel brake dust. When brake dust does appear it easily washes off with a jet of water.

I use wheel wax on mine. Just water, wipe, rinse, and dry gets them clean and shiny in under 10 minutes

Personally I would never get black pack because I don't want to encourage Jaguar's cynical attempt to charge more for a less expensive part. It should be a no cost option given the black trim costs less than the chrome trim in their parts catalog.

Or spend a bit more and get this superb bargain. I'm pretty sure this is Vic55's car so it is lowered, has spacers, and is tuned.

I'll have to try that. Black, silver, chrome, they all gather brake dust fast.
