Default To those that did their own pulley install on the V8

As the title states,

Those of you that did the install yourself, what tool/puller did you use to get the stock V8 pulley off? I borrowed a puller from a friend of mine which I believe is the one made by APR for Audis. It works/fits perfectly on the smaller pulley that I'm trying to install but doesn't fit around the larger factory pulley I'm trying to get off.
So where can I get/borrow/buy/steal a puller to get the stock pulley off.

Also Unhinged can you please remind me of the diameter of the stock pulley on the V8 so I can search for pullers.

Thanks

OEM pulleys on the V8 have an effective diameter of 66mm for the upper pulley and 152mm for the lower. Ads about 3-5mm to each to account for the shoulder that is a slightly larger diameter.

That implies that a discarded stock Audi pulley might
be used as an upgrade on Jaguars. That is, provided
the number and placement of grooves matches as well
as inner bore. Don't suppose your friend still has his
old one to measure/examine?

He doesn't, but I really don't think thats worth effort. I doubt the shaft size is the same to that the centerline of the pulley would end up at the right point on the shaft.

The lower pulley is bolted on. It shouldn't require a puller.

If you are trying to remove the SC 66mm pulley they recommend the one used to remove the SC pulley from the Mini. Its like a collar which then bolts on a conventional pulley puller. See my thread on the pulley removal.

Actually I came across a couple of pullers that were for the mini while I was searching, but no where was a diameter mentioned, I have emailed the manufacturers to see if they would fit a 66mm pulley but no response yet.

Just keep in mind that for me getting the pulley out was not the issue. Burring the snout of the SC was... Make sure you get the Velocity AP pulley, it has a full mm more diameter than the others.

Not to bring this back from the dead, but wondering how this ended up going. I have a 2015 V8S I plan to do this myself. No where in this do I see the model year of the cars. Is the supercharger the same pulley size year to year?

The pulleys are all the same from year to year. The upper SC pulley is 62mm on the V6 and 66mm on the V8.
