For those who try to upgrade the Nav screen

Hello guys,
watch this video. The guy known as Mr. G.B. States he changed the car's small navigation screen unit with the larger 10.invh Nav screen. He says it's not an aftermarket unit, it's original factory 10 inch Nav unit. How did he accomplish this. Can you go to the dealer and have them do an upgrade swapping the 8 inch Nav screen for the larger size Nav screen. If it's possible, why are some guys going crazy trying to figure out how to improve the car's small navigation screen with aftermarket Chinese product navigation screen.
anyone ....
Thank you.

I don't think any dealer would do this. He had an aftermarket specialist do it for him. It's not just plug and play but also requires some coding.
I'm pretty sure that it's only possible on cars that have the very latest version of the 8" ICTP system from model year 2018 and onwards, where the hardware (except screen size and buttons) and software is the same in the 8" and 10" versions.
The only real added value is CarPlay / Android Auto. If you really want CarPlay / Android Auto, installing the UAD aftermarket kit may be just as good, especially if you consider the cost difference.
