Default Three Cheers For GGG

At the risk of embarrassing him - and/or the risk of this thread being moved or possibly even trashed; or my being banned! - I’d like to give a shout-out to Moderator-extraordinaire (SUPER MOD. With 109,586 posts, makes Unhingd look like an amateur), our very own, GGG; a.k.a Graham.

In the just-under five years I’ve been a member of this Forum, I am proud to say I’ve become a friend of his - and he a friend to us all - and suffice it to say this Forum would be seriously lacking without him. (The same can likely be said of some of the other Mods who’ve I’ve not had the pleasure of interacting with with the same regularity as I have with Graham.)

So if you will join me:
For he’s a jolly-good fellow...for he’s a jolly-good fellow...for he’s a jolly-good fellow, which nobody can deny.

Best regards, from this side of the pond,
RJ52

P.S. I forgot the three cheers: Hip hip, hooray. Hip hip, hooray. Hip hip hooray!

+1.
His name always reminds me of a local Adelaide company that used to advertise on the idiot box a LOT going back a few years.
They were a roofing and guttering company and their catchy name was "Gotta Getta Gutter" or GGG. Then a few years ago they expanded and branched out into other house/garage/shed building and renovation trades and changed their name to Gotta Getta Group. Still GGG but nowhere near as catchy!

Poor Chap, he had just bought a new Jaguar.

I always thought how fortuitous it was of us to have someone truly passionate and knowledgeable about Jaguar in an age when Jaguar has forgotten itself.
And willing to share every ounce of that.

I can just see him looking down saying 'you impertinent monkey, you will never grow up'

WTF Q & C? It’s not like he’s dead you know. Unless you know something I don’t? “The rumors of my demise are greatly exaggerated.”

As RickyJay52 knows from my email's, I'm presently on a mountain top in Spain with a very flakey internet connection and have only just seen this thread.

Thank you all for your kind words and Queen & Country for the obituary (). Moderators usually only get hate mail so it's a real pleasure to hear from friendly members.

OzXFR - to explain the username, GGG is my initials.

Graham

1) It looks more Lunar Gray than Stratus Gray to me.
2) Those are my assistants assistants!
3) I'm just glad I didn't send you any videos from that day.
4) "Well played" DJS? Plagerizing Scott are we?

Carry on...
