Thump sound in rear while backing out

This is my first post and am a brand new owner of a MY 17 British Design Edition Convertible. I have learned a lot from reading all these post and I thank you folks. I have had my car for a week. Before posting this I did some research on this forum regarding the thump sound while turning, it seems to come from the coil springs rubbing metal on metal. All the post seem to be in the earlier model years mostly MY 13. Not sure if that is what I’m experiencing. What I notice is it occurs most while backing out with the wheels turned. The first time I heard it was a series of two thumps, I thought it was coming from my rear speaker sounded like thump coming from a bass speaker. The other thought was something moving around in the boot causing a reverberation type sound. It seems to emanate behind the driver. I made sure the sound system was off and that there was nothing loose in the boot. Any ideas, recommendations or suggestions? Has anyone experienced the coil spring thump in the later model years?
