I see my dealer has a 'new' 2015 Sapphire w/ redzone interior (ala Superman) F-type S coupe for $20K off MSRP. Saw the ad in the paper.
Hmm, the ad said 'F-type S', but the listing doesn't say S. But that's a lot for a base!

So this is waaay off topic, but I notice your Cherokee Trailhawk in the background... I'm moving to Nevada in July and have been seriously looking at picking one of these up as a fun desert toy (and possible DD).
I'm by no means a "serious off-roader", but would be curious as to your impressions of it, and would you recommend it? Thanks!

I absolutely love the Trailhawk. As an owner of 5 Wranglers from 3 different generations, I never thought I'd buy any other Jeep model, but my wife has always complained about their lack of street ride comfort.
I wouldn't be happy with any of the other Cherokee versions, but the TH is lifted a bit and has a suspension, transfer case set-up, and skid-plates to be a formidable off-roader. It probably has 90% of the Wrangler's off-road capabilties, but it also has a very comfortable almost car-like ride.
I've had no maintenance issues with it, no squeaks, rattles, nada. They also come w/ very nice leather interiors, and the arguably the best touch screen infotainment system in the business.

I've never been a traditionalist, and I've a pretty artistic eye. First whether we want to believe it or not, red and blues don't clash, they are well suited together. The question is what's the real shade of the red. Many reds even contain some blue in them. The more I think about it the more I like the idea of having a very rare color scheme, as I will never sell the vehicle and it's only I that will ever drive it.
I appreciate everyone's comments and their own beliefs. Now all that's left is me growing my down payment over the next six months, then actually pulling the trigger on ordering one.
Time will tell around December what's in store for my future ride

Yes, it's definitely "Superman (or Supergirl) Red" having seen Marko's in person. I like it, but probably not w/ Ultra Blue. It's fantastic w/ white, and probably grays.
If you like it go for it, but one consideration, since most people do not have "imagination," is probably a tougher resale. :-) But, you said you'd never sell it. I've said the same thing with regard to a half dozen cars I was passionate about, and then I changed my mind over time. I've learned to never say never.
I had one hell of a hard time selling a "Daytona Violet" '95 M3, and I was living in "Prince territory" at the time.
