Default Tire Fitment Help?

Hey guys,

It's about time I replace the Pirellis that came with the car from factory. I have a 2016 V6S Convertible, currently sitting on the stock 19" rims (245/40-19 & 275/35-19). Was looking to maybe upgrade to the new Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires (and maybe up the width?), but had a question about fitment. Could I fit 255/40ZR19 & 295/30ZR19 on the current tires without any problems, or should I just stick to the standard tire widths that the car comes with? I've attached a screenshot of the tires I'm looking at specifically, as well as a list of all the 19" wheels that TireRack offers for the PS4S. Sorry for the noob question, just never had any experience with this before. Any input would be great, thanks in advance!

The tire sizes are fine. But the 9.5” wheel is a bit too narrow for the 295.

I'd stick with the stock sizes. The difference going from the pirellis to the michelins is going to be night and day.

This is probably not as true on an AWD V6 model. Ive yet to experience even momentary loss of traction on the P Zeros.

+1. If you can, go with 285mm in the rear.

So how does this sound - 255/40ZR19 & 285/35ZR19? These should fit without a problem? I know the 10mm increase isn't very significant, but if you can fit them, why not!

Bump.

So could I fit 255/40-19 & 285/35-19 on stock 19' rims? Or should I just stick with the standard 245/40-19 & 275/35-19? Or only upgrade one and not the other? Any input would be appreciated as I'm looking to put in my order today!

You could go up 10mm front and back (but no more) as you suggest without exceeding the tire manufacturer recommended tire sizes for those wheels. So, yes.
