Default Tire Pressure Monitor / View vehicle status

Can anybody else click on the view vehicle status option in the menu screen? Its completely greyed out on my car and I can never get into it. Trying to find where I can view the exact psi of each tire. I got a flat tire yesterday and got it replaced today but got the low tire pressure alert again. I brought it back to dealer where I'm at now but want to be able to monitor exact psi of tires just can't find out where and service guys have no clue.

You have to be in park if I recall correctly. If that doesn't work try it after turning on the car without turning on the engine (press the start button without pressing the Brakepedal)

But I don't know why my v8s convertible doesn't show tire pressure on that screen. I think it's only an r option

Thanks turning engine off did actually let me get into the vehicle status menu. Sadly nothing useful at all in it but in case I forget my VIN# i now know an overly complicated way to view it. I really can't believe its so difficult to view a current psi reading for all tires. This is a super basic feature every low end car has these days.

You and I have very similar cars and I have looked up and down on mine and cannot view the tire pressures on the display either. All my Chevy company pickups have this capability (while driving) and it would be nice to have on the Jag. I have also not found any documentation anywhere that states which cars have it or how to display the information. Reading other comments, it sounds logical that it may only be available on the R’s or 2015’s.

I will ask my dealer on the next service if a simple software update will add it, although I hope that will not be anytime soon.

I've said this before here, but I've also had the TPMS read-out feature on other cars, and never found it useful--never bothered looking at it. I'm exclusively concerned about cold tire pressures, which are the only accurate ones. I also check them regularly with a high-quality tire gauge, which is also far more accurate than the TPMS sensors.

Depends on what type of sensors are in the wheels. On my Porsches, the TPMS gives you two readings

1- pressure
2. Temperature corrected pressure

It then has a display giving you + or - and how many pounds needed.
The TPMS is very accurate and what Porsche recommends you work off of.

Have no idea why the Jag sensors are capable of and find it nuts you can not access the readings. At least in my car I have not figured out how to.

Hopefully Jaguar will have a software update next year that will fix some of these annoying things. I can't imagine the R Coupe having anything special (beyond software) that would allow it to get tire pressure displayed vs other models. And hopefully some other software updates as well.

I think it's actually a combination of model year and coupe rather than the R.

All 2015 coupes should have the tpms menu option. I believe all 2014 convertibles do not have it.

For 2015 verts and 2014 coupes (of which there are very few anyway) I'm not sure.

I don't think there is a model year 2014 coupe, is there? In any event, think you're probably right that it's a function of model year, not R vs non-R or convertible vs coupes.

Never knew that Walt as I've never owned a Porsche, and yes that would be useful. Is that std. on all Porsches or just higher-end 911s? Obviously, higher-end technology almost always comes with higher-end cost.

I believe there were 2014 coupes in the UK because they got released a half year before the US.

But yeah I would guess it's a model year thing.
