Tire sidewall damage - driveable?
#21
Yeah, I hate being 'that guy', and hate even more that the dealer made me 'that guy', but I definitely took several dozen photos at every angle of the car before I walked away from it in their service bay when dropping it off this time, and again picking it up before I pulled it out of their service bay, where everyone can see me doing it. The end result of everything was OK, I suppose, and I understand that mistakes happen, but it's how everything was handled to get there that bothers me. I don't expect the pinnacle of concierge service just because it's a Jaguar, but I DO expect to not feel like I'm dealing with a seedy used car lot. lol

Damn, just as I replied to your other thread, I see this.
It's happened to me before with them, and luckily I caught it in front of my eye where a huge nail went right through my tire. They fixed it on the spot.
Another time when they washed my car and ruined the detail and swirled it up, on top of scratching it somehow (I ALWAYS tell them to NEVER wash my cars). They washed it, ruined the paint. I made them pay for a new detail. There was some pushback as you said, but they owned up to it. I never had to get loud with them. But in 7 years, I've only ever really had those 2 incidents. I make it a habit to show their porters and service reps that I'm bringing in a mint car.
