Default Today might be the day I buy a F-type R

and it also might not be.....

Some might remember an earlier thread I started regarding the dilemma of either buying a new S or a second hand R (car taxes are very high in Norway, specially on high bhp cars, so a new R is outside my budget).

To make it even a little more difficult, there has not been sold any R models in Norway yet, so finding a second hand here is impossible.

However I have found one abroad that meets all my requirements (the "right" color, low milage, mint condition and with all the right options), and at this very moment I have a good friend (who works with cars and therefore knows cars very well in general) inspecting this car for me in person, as he lives rather close to the dealer in question.

So now I am waiting for his call and hear his judgement. If the car is in as good condition as the salesman claims, he will make the deal on my behalf.

I am not just a little anxious at the moment.....

Well, I am wishing you good luck that this will all work out well for you and you will soon be an R owner!

Interesting!

It is - and it seems that I will be the first one

The deal is done, and I will pick up the car (In Germany) when I return to Norway from my Holiday in Key Largo first week of June.

I can't think of a better way to end the Holidays than going abroad again to pick up an F-type R and drive it more than 1.000 km to get it home

Two more days and I will fly down to Hamburg, Germany and drive the car more than 1.000 km back home.

Looking VERY much forward to the trip!
