Default Too hot to drive?

Is there a daytime temp above which it isn’t recommended to drive my 2024 F-Type?

I'm halfway through watching The Grand Tour: Sand Job, where they drive three cars through the blisteringly hot Sahara Desert. Clarkson's car is an F Type, and it seems to be holding up (the same cannot be said for Hammond's poor Aston &#129394.

The limiting factor would be you, rather than the car, I think!

I live in southeast Florida and my car is a daily driver. I sit in traffic and have not had any issues.

Default Thanks

Appreciate the responses guys. This is my first Jag and I feel like a new, overprotective parent. 😅

It gets pretty hot here (114 yesterday) and in 6 years of owning an F-Type, I've not had issues.

I’d keep an eye on tire pressures.

I would think the ecm would match fueling and such to intake air temp and such to keep driveability intact. These temps will surely give your engine cooling i great test. I live in central Ca where temps are simiilar. Make me glad over the last 7 years of ownership i replaced every coolant hose and hard part incuding the rad and all charger hoses. All fiy or no way i could own and enjoy my car. Different model but cooling is cooling you know. Still a jaguar

+1 I drive every day. It is fruitless to try to get tire pressure perfect , if I have to I wait till after midnite and car has been sitting.

I found with a high performance turbo (a volvo s60R), the performance drop was noticeably bad mid summer, when the roads would be around 40 celsius (maybe 100 - 110 of your units) and also noticeably better in winter, but I havent noticed any difference in the supercharged jags. There would be one, but not noticeable to me.

Default Tire pressures

I never thought about tire pressures! Great tip! Thanks.

I also live in central Calif (Modesto), and our current heat wave is what prompted me to start this thread.

Just make sure your cooling system has the updated metal cooling pipes, stay out of boost for long periods
