Top Gear Review: 2016 R AWD vs GT-R vs 911 Turbo

What a stupid test... For the first comparison test out there for the AWD F type they choose to put them on ice!? Seriously stupid decision. Obviously the GTR's gonna feel the best, it's got goddamn studded tires on it. Put them on the road with stock tires since that's where people are gonna drive them. Pitiful article.

- 911 Turbo is awesome, but it's $$$$ and pretty boring, too "precision German engineering", not enough oh crap!!!
- GTR is a beast but it's ugly, old, not fun
- F-Type AWD is beautiful, drives like a RWD, fun. AWD is there to save you only.
If the review of the AWD is accurate then I say Jaguar did a good job. We don't want the F-Type to be a track monster GT-R. We want it a little loose, a little old-school too much power in the rear that slides around a bit. The AWD is there just in case.

The GTR looks extra ugly with the snowplow on the front.
On a serious note though, it sounds as though the AWD R might take some getting used to while driving at the limits (on the track)... Most people want to lift (if even slightly and smoothly) when they get into trouble. Sounds like with the AWD, you DON'T want to lift (and maybe even get into it a little more) so that the fronts can pull you through and out of trouble...
I wonder how many people (including myself) need some "reprogramming"...

That's what I really want to find out. How does it drive (near the limit) on a track, or even just dry roadway?
It really takes some ***** to NOT lift or even get into it when you're about to lose it. I know I'm going to want to go play around in a BIG empty lot or a track with PLENTY of run off and no walls when I get mine.
Someone far better than myself needs to get out there and drive the wheels off the new AWD R and tell us weekend warriors what to expect!

I'm guessing with AWD you want to maintain a neutral throttle (never had the opprtunity to drive an AWD). That's certainly the case with 4WD.
