Default Total wrap

Has anybody done a complete body wrap on an F-Type?
If so, I would appreciate some input on material chosen, color, durability and cost.
How is holding up?
Thanks

I had this done to mine. The only portion that I didn’t have the film applied to was the rear boot lid and rear bumper areas. I just didn’t see the need for it there. There is no perceived difference in appearance in the areas with film and those without. I hope this helps. FYI, Be sure you tell an installer you do not want a pre cut kit. You want the film applied so the edges extend beyond enough to be tucked under the edges. Otherwise there is a tiny gap at the edges.
xPel PPF
Bumper kit: $550
Full hood, fenders, mirrors: $1050
Headlamp kit: $70
Rocker kit: $410
Door kit: $500
Total: $2,580

Thanks Mark. I did similar with Xpel on the front end, lights and mirrors for $800.
What I was trying to get info on is changing the appearance with a complete colored or reflective film.
See the posting above by Jag1611.

it's been over a year since wrap in avery dennison urban jungle color shift. Cost 1600.00 I hear I got a good deal. All good so far, glad I did it. Depending on light the car shifts from greens to purples and golds to bronze, and frankly sometimes I see new colors occasionally. Car is a head Turner and gets compliments constantly, almost annoyingly so.

That price seems insanely cheap. As mentioned above Xpel would run so much more than that and I had mine paint corrected, PPF with Xpel and ceramic coated and it was around $4-5k. Again I note the original post mentioned this wrap and I would be curious to see what people think on if the wrap would provide as much protection as a PPF such as Xpel? First I love my paint color but if it was cheaper than an Xpel PPF coverage and provided a similar level of paint protection it would seem a wrap would be a better option. I personally never had a car wrapped before. Although somewhat apples and oranges I would be curious to know if people have had both and their personal take on the protection level.

The price even more amazing.
What was the original color and age of the car?

have never done research on wraps/ppf...how long do they last/when does it need to be removed and replaced? and what happens if u do go past its timeframe...I would assume it's a pain to remove.

I went the Xpel route. The Xpel is much thicker than a wrap and was told the wrap really does not offer paint protection. What do others think?

I'm planning a color change or removal after 3 years. Manufacturer says 5 years. Sun exposure matters too if parked outside and not garaged that 5 number would go down imo. Modern wraps are pretty good about coming off easily.

he was excited to do the car so I think he gave me a good deal. While it's probably not as good as xpel in thickness snd protection he also put expel over the nose section on top of the wrap.

I got a full color change. My car was originally ultimate black which was almost ideal.

Material: Inozetek Miami Blue, with 3M Gloss Black for the trim
Duration: 18 months, looks great but my car is garaged and usually waxed.
Durability: Alright, I have two rock chips in the bumper vinyl from freeway driving. I try to maintain a long following distance at all times. It also scratches a lot easier than clear coat.
Cost: $4000, I had budgeted this before I even purchased the car

The dealer thought it was a paint job at first

^ Good choice with the Miami Blue. It does look like paint. Impressive

Wrapped with 3M Matte Grey Aluminium, originally black. I really like the overall look with the matte wrap, gloss black grill and side skirts finished off with carbon fiber wing mirrors, hood and side vents.

$4,000 for the full wrap with black accents, window tint, tinted tail lights and ceramic coating.
