I've thought about this too. Here is a real stunning one for you:

I had this done to mine. The only portion that I didn’t have the film applied to was the rear boot lid and rear bumper areas. I just didn’t see the need for it there. There is no perceived difference in appearance in the areas with film and those without. I hope this helps. FYI, Be sure you tell an installer you do not want a pre cut kit. You want the film applied so the edges extend beyond enough to be tucked under the edges. Otherwise there is a tiny gap at the edges.

it's been over a year since wrap in avery dennison urban jungle color shift. Cost 1600.00 I hear I got a good deal. All good so far, glad I did it. Depending on light the car shifts from greens to purples and golds to bronze, and frankly sometimes I see new colors occasionally. Car is a head Turner and gets compliments constantly, almost annoyingly so.
That price seems insanely cheap. As mentioned above Xpel would run so much more than that and I had mine paint corrected, PPF with Xpel and ceramic coated and it was around $4-5k. Again I note the original post mentioned this wrap and I would be curious to see what people think on if the wrap would provide as much protection as a PPF such as Xpel? First I love my paint color but if it was cheaper than an Xpel PPF coverage and provided a similar level of paint protection it would seem a wrap would be a better option. I personally never had a car wrapped before. Although somewhat apples and oranges I would be curious to know if people have had both and their personal take on the protection level.

I'm planning a color change or removal after 3 years. Manufacturer says 5 years. Sun exposure matters too if parked outside and not garaged that 5 number would go down imo. Modern wraps are pretty good about coming off easily.

I got a full color change. My car was originally ultimate black which was almost ideal.
Material: Inozetek Miami Blue, with 3M Gloss Black for the trim
Duration: 18 months, looks great but my car is garaged and usually waxed.
Durability: Alright, I have two rock chips in the bumper vinyl from freeway driving. I try to maintain a long following distance at all times. It also scratches a lot easier than clear coat.
Cost: $4000, I had budgeted this before I even purchased the car
The dealer thought it was a paint job at first

Wrapped with 3M Matte Grey Aluminium, originally black. I really like the overall look with the matte wrap, gloss black grill and side skirts finished off with carbon fiber wing mirrors, hood and side vents.
$4,000 for the full wrap with black accents, window tint, tinted tail lights and ceramic coating.
