Tow Hook Measurements

Tow Hook Measurements
What is the thread pitch and diameter of the tow hook for these cars? Does anyone have these measurements or have confirmation of cross-compatibility from other cars? I've misplaced my OEM piece after the last track-day and figured I'd pick up a snazzier looking one.

I posted elsewhere about this, the OEM XF front tow hook is identical to the OEM F-Type tow hook, so if you are looking to buy an OEM replacement there are usually one or two XF tow hooks advertised on Fleabay.
There is also another thread somewhere about someone looking for a snazzier folding front tow hook for track days (I think that is where I posted about the XF tow hook), but I don't think they found what they wanted.

Thread length = 34 mm
Thread width = 18 mm
Thread pitch = 4 threads per 10 mm or 2.5 mm per thread.

Very generous of you. The car's going in for service before the next track day so I'll measure my loaner's or borrow one from an XF. The offer is much appreciated.

Sorry this fell off the radar. Haven't done anything yet as the need isn't urgent. I would however source them from here as I've ordered them in the past. Quality stuff. https://zl1addons.com/collections/tow-hooks

OK, I just took a close look at it...Both problems can be solved with the same solution you previously presented. It seems the honeycomb is about 1/2 cell out of line with the threaded hole. To have adequate clearance, you might have offset the hole in the block by a full 1.5 cells. Would be best if you don't have to. Either way, you would need to find or machine the proper bolt with a left hand thread and machine the block with a passthrough hole for the bolt and a threaded hole that will accept the towhook of your choice. A bunch of us with the P7 grille will be needing this. I'll take this on as a winter project if no one else gets to it first. Will need to be black powder coated steel.

We are 100% on the same page. I'll keep you updated, otherwise I look forward to your project this next winter!
