Default Traction control after tire change

Hey all - I thought I would get your input on this. Back in March, I ended up with a bent wheel on my 2015 R. I decided to go with a set of wheels that I liked a little better than the stock Gyrodynes (replaced with Avante Garde M520R). Along with the wheel change, I also changed from the stock P-ZERO's to Continental ExtremeContact Sports. What's strange is that with the tire change, traction control seems to be freaking out a bit. Going anywhere near the throttle coming out of a corner in 2nd gear triggers traction control to cut power. Even in a straight line, if the road surface is a little pitted, traction control cuts power badly in 2nd and 3rd. The weird part is that I don't seem to be slipping at all when it kicks in. With the P-ZERO's, the 2nd -> 3rd shift would smoke the rear tires on full throttle. With the ExtremeContact Sports (if traction control doesn't kick on), that's not the case. With traction control off, they definitely seem to have more grip. They also seem to grip better in the corners than the worn out P-ZEROs.

Ideally, I'd like to not decrease traction control (TRAC or OFF) if I'm just driving a back road but I'm kind of at my wit's end with this. If I'm going to be turning the car to TRAC on a back road, then I'll want to get some track days in first to explore the limits of that.

Stock Gyrodyne 20" wheels
20x9 front / 20x10.5 rear
Stock Pirelli P-ZERO
255/35 R20
295/30 R20

Avante Garde M520R
20x9 front / 20x11 rear
Continental ExtremeContact Sports
255/35 R20
295/30 R20

What were the stock sizes and what do you have now? Wheels and tires. Little changes could affect it. No lights on display for traction?

I wonder if "stretching" the 295s on the 11" rims have made a difference. People recommend 305s for 11" rims, I think.

I was thinking that as well as it seems to be the only outlier from other's experiences. Was curious why OP went to 11" rims, but didn't go to the 265 & 305 combo.

staying with 255 in front on the 9” wheels makes sense, but the tire contact patch will be much better with 305 on the 11” wheel.

Unhingd, roger that. I should have said curious why OP went with 11" in the back if he was going to stay with 295. Do you think that stretching the tire that far reduced torsional flex in the sidewall to the point it's causing his problems? I'm thinking in terms of drag racers that require sidewall flex to increase grip. On a different scale here, but probably still important. Thoughts?

I don't think this can be compared to drag racing tires given the radically different tire construction and the extremely low tire pressures that are used ( in some cases <10psi). And I wouldn't think that mounting a 295 on a 1/2" wider would change the performance enough to register on anything other than a g-force meter. Is it possible that a wheel sensor was damaged or dislocated during the wheel/tire mounting?.
