Default Traction control light not working after VAP stage3 tune

Hello fellows I’m from China with a 2018 ftype base 340p and just did the VAP stage 3 upper and lower pulley tune. Overall I’m happy with the results, the team answers my questions very clearly. If you have any questions regarding my experience, I’m happy to answer.

However I noticed the traction light won’t flash any more, the esc button works like normal and there’s no error messages in dashboard. The light been working fine for over 70000km, it’s gone after the tune, at first I’m not sure just guessing then I noticed this more, until a rainy day I hit the rpm to over 4000 the car is not moving much and the light is not flashing.

Is there anyone here with the same problem? I think it’s a bit dangerous as without the light I don’t know if the tires are already spinning I may keep increasing the throttle. The worst scenario is traction control isn’t working entirely but I don’t think this is the case.

Update the esp is working fine by test, however I still don’t know why with much increased power I see traction light less often.

update: Here’s a reply from VAP:.If the car knows it’s raining, by having the windscreen wipers on, the vehicle will pre-prevent slippage by requesting the engine to pull back power to avoid possible slippage conditions.

In our tuning file we also delivery the power at a linear rate versus sudden bursts in stock file, this change in power delivery could be why your traction control doesn’t need to act as much.

I think they are right, feel free to order from them I’m so happy with the purchase.

Any updates? How's the power increase? Do you think it's worth doing? I have a 2017 V6 S.

I have the tune and crank pulley and installed the tune first and ran it without a crank pulley for a year. Just the tune wakes up the car and allows it to pull to redline - before the tune the power rolled off quickly as redline approached. It is a very noticeable but not a crazy improvement. The addition of the crank pulley and revising the tune to take full advantage of it was a big step change. Way more low end torque, way more SC whine and way more need to be more careful with the throttle. Definitely worth the $.
