Default Trunk manual key lock

I saw a refence on another jag thread to a manual key lock position for the trunk.
All I can find is a small square silver plate that is obscured by the license plate.
There is no refence to a manual key option in the handbook.
Am I correct in assuming that there is no such lock on the F-Type convertible (2021)
My convertible only has manual opening and closing.
There is a manual release under the trunk edge and an electric release in the cabin.

There is no manual key lock for the trunk and there never has been on the F-Type. That would have been a good addition, I agree.

If you have the fob in your pocket, why would you need a physical key for the boot hatch?
