Just imagine how much freer flowing it would be if it weren't choked down to one outlet.

I was also playing freeway tag in traffic with a Merc C63 AMG which makes quite an exciting growl when being hammered, it uses turbochargers and still manages to sound great.
Honestly, I feel like neutral rev (when the car is parked), the F-Type disappoints. It doesn't rev freely enough compared to the Ferraris. Those guys can free rev like no tomorrow. So at Cars and Coffee F-Types don't impress me too much. But get it under load....that's a different story.

not that silly multiple outlets, 2 or 4.

I might be able to top that. Have a 2004 XKR, McLeod exhaust, nameless high flow cats, no intake baffles and that old Eaton supercharger screams. Tons of fun, not as quick as our F, but it moves out nicely. I just need to figure out how to lower the rear axle ratio without screwing up the electronics.

Free revving is actively discouraged at our cars and coffee because the are worried the Neighbours will get them shut down as it starts at 7 am on a Sunday morning him a residential area.

Have to wait until they gomontonthe freeway as they arebleavingbto hear them revving. There the f type holds it own just fine.

foosh, the final single outlet is 5" in diameter, not even close to a choke point!

my system is 4 internally ported exhaust manifolds, ceramic coated inside and out!
into merged 2 1/4" of each manifold, they merge into two 2 1/2" down pipes, that collect into two straight thru 2 1/2" mufflers, that merge into a single 5" turn down outlet,(nope no backpressure there.)

now a change of thought here!

a 12 cylinder engine has 6 pulses per one revolution of the crankshaft!

an 8 cylinder has 4 pulses per one rev.

a 6 has only 3 pulses per one rev.

and a 4 only pulses 2 times in a single rev.

so the question remains, which would sound like a whistle at 7K RPM?

and most cars mentioned here,(excluding Jag V8) are 12 cylinders, except the LFA, with 10 cylinders, but a lot of R&D went into making that car sound absolutely terrifing., quick revs are done by light weight internals, flat plane cranks, friction reduction.
couple pix ,one has the smoke being pushed away from outlet!
