Gorgeous.

From the article:
This gorgeous ‘Ultra Blue’ example is one of the European Jaguar F-Type Project 7 models, caught the other day out and about somewhere in France, apparently. It is easier to mistake the Project 7 for a normal F-Type Convertible in this color than the British Racing Green with decals that we are more used to.

I tend to agree Foosh but from an exclusivity point of view the Project 7 needs all it can get to distinguish itself from the other F-Types.

I'm unsure about the F generally, in my eyes it's a cross between an Audi a Nissan and a Honda what a missed opportunity to create a suitable successor to the etype/xke also the paint finish is at best ordinary, at least the fin is a unique throw back to the days of Jaguar's great designs. Great exhaust note though, but not for me.

Hi, I see an Audi squared off grill , Honda side haunches and a Nissan back end particularly lower spoiler area. Perhaps I have been unlucky with seeing the mediocre paint finish, as a life time owner and Jaguar nut, i was extremely underwhelmed when I attended to local launch, probably in common with most site members I would defend the marque to the hilt, but seriously I am saddened to witness Jaguar leaving their heritage behind, I hope and expect the curvy lines to return in future models. Surely we would prefer to align with a marque that can usually get recognised without any decals or badges. If you can help me appreciate the styling of the F I would be very happy to be converted. Thanks.

LOL. frankly, if you think the f-type looks like an audi, nissan and honda, I think you are trolling. the f-type looks like an aston. unless you're going to say an aston looks like an audi, nissan and honda as well. you don't necessarily have to like the f-type, but that comparison is just beyond ridioculous

I agree with with shift that the F-Type looks closest to an Aston, but that makes sense given the designer also worked for Aston, but personally I can definitely see the E-Type in there as well.

Merlin, thank for a serious response, you are very close to understanding my views, that said whilst I agree there is a need to look forward in design, (as there was in the 60's) on the previous occasion the etype was developed, however on this occasion the F has in MY view too many similarities with other manufacturer's designs. I am simply seeking a step change away from the pack, more than happy to generally align the marque with Aston Martin but as we recall the e didn't follow the db's , both were distinct from each other and most importantly from lesser manufacturers. It would appear that my post has upset someone, who may not appreciate that debate is more fitting than abuse, however that is not my problem, members generally take a mature stance and if one is not encouraged to express views then Lemmings rule. Yes I have an e type fhc but even that is not the best looking jaguar in my collection, but that's another story and by the sounds of it any mention would invoke a riot.
