The trouble with 'comments on the web' is that they are only someones opinion, and in some cases, from those that have not even driven the car.
Do some test drives and decide for yourself is the best approach.

If you’re talking about negative comments regarding the F-Type, I’m not sure where you are seeing them. I am also not seeing many complaints from owners on this forum. I have watched almost every YouTube video and read most magazine reviews of the F-Type and the results were always positive. So positive that when comparing against Porsche, some reviewers were almost embarrassed to give a very slight edge to the Cayman. I have only had my car for a short time now and I have to say it is a rolling experience every time I get into it, in a good way. I am really enjoying this car. It has soul and is full of life!

What is known as the 'base' system in the US (380W Meridian), is the 'middle' system in the UK (they have a lower base model 6 speaker, 180W).

Agree that the base Meridian system in the U.S. F-Type sounds very good to my ears and compares favorably to the high-end systems in many other recent models. It is true that some bass distortion can be introduced if that level is set any higher than mid-range. However, that's fine for me, as I really dislike rolling "boom boxes."
