upgrade from S to 400, R, or SVR
today's dilemma - upgrade from 2015 silver S coupe to:
MY18 Silver 400
MY17 Silver R
MY17 Storm Grey R AWD
MY18 white SVR
Dealer has come up with some really good numbers for the 400 or the silver R - but... I already have a silver v6. Another dealer has come up with slightly less attractive numbers for the AWD R but it's a nice car...
Since I actually like the 400 facelift and it's effectively brand new - it might be the top contender but I'm waiting for first dealer to get back with some figures on the SVR.

As others have said there's quite an increase in price between these two models, I could be tempted more by an R fitted with an upgrade such as

Whilst I quite like the idea of owning an SVR, as R1nZX confirms the 25bhp increase over the R isn't significant, unless suspension changes mean you can use more of the power more of the time.

I have limited first hand knowledge, but from the papers I would go for the 400. Figuring the base is a touch boring, the V8s are more than most people need, and so the 400 is distinctive and yet not too much.
A related question is how do the sales break down over the F-type range percentage wise. I expect the numbers get pretty small as you move up the food chain.

So... this just happened:
400 didn't make any sense after the V6-S, AWD R and SVR came in at similar enough numbers (different dealers, different trade-in value, different discount) that the SVR won.
First impressions - it's actually a smoother ride than the 2015 S and the lower final drive ratio feels really nice with that much extra torque behind it.
