Default US production

Just heard on local radio that Jag is going to build a production plant in Savanna Georgia to counter the tariffs.

Wonderful.
More American jobs.
However, the tariff & trade war will be over by then (3 yrs). This is just a bargaining & negotiating tactic.
But Jaguar must justify that it can sell at least double or triple # of their least expensive model, build it here & still charge the $1000 shipping charge....

If they do build that plant I doubt it would make the F-Type or the F-Type successor, I reckon it would only build the biggest selling JLR products such as Range Rover, Jag XE, F-Pace and E-Pace.

That’s my suspicion as well.

Yes, it is likely SUVs that will be made in US. Or pickup trucks, specially designed for US market... With start and stop button replaced with 'rolling coal' button.

However, parts shared with F-type will be instantly easier and cheaper to obtain.

I know someone that works at JLR and had heard they were thinking of setting up shop in the Carolinas to make the F pace. This was almost 3-4 years ago now. I'd prefer my Jag be made in England.

^ Came from several evaluations by euro makers. Volvo pulled the trigger.
Sounds like an opportunity to make up market demand by selling mine. we will see
