US vs UK Price for the same car
On a lark, I when to the Jaguar UK site and configured my F-Type on that site. The total price, if I did everything correctly, was 69,263 pounds which converts to $110,121! My car's sticker price was $79,945 so the same car costs over $30,000 more in the UK. I would have expected the car to be a little less expense over there.
It is interesting that most of the options we get in the US as part of a package are separate options and therefore cost more, in total than the US package.

Is the UK price before or after VAT (tax) ? This tax is charged at 20% on the final list price with options added. It's a lot, isn't it ! Mind you, in the 50s, the old UK Purchase Tax once got to 55%. It gradually came down to 25% in the 60s.
Then once you've bought the car, you have to find the petrol money at £1.37 a litre and the annual vehicle excise duty.

Most poorer people with First Class taste but only a Standard Class income, wait for depreciation to do its work. The cars can then be picked up quite cheaply. In my case a £45k X350 saloon for £10k with low miles and I'm the 2nd owner.
