V6 2015 Exhaust noise
Hi all,
I've just recently gone to purchase a used F-Type V6 2015 plate (I reside in the U.K)
It unfortunately has no dynamic exhaust button. I can live without that but it seems on the test drive the car was not making the pop and crack noises, even in dynamic mode.
Is this a downside to the standard V6 or can it still make those sounds?
Also should all F Types centre air vents pop up?
Many thanks,

Sounds like the car is not equipped with Active Exhaust. Based on what I've read on this forum, Active Exhaust equipped cars have valves in the muffler assembly that open and close in Dynamic Mode. Switchable Active Exhaust has the button on the console so you can activate the Active Exhaust at will; Dynamic Mode or otherwise.
F-Type center vents should raise with the AC on and lower with the AC off.

KyleK,
It is easy enough to determine whether your car has the vacuum controlled exhaust features. Simply look under the rear end and find where the exhaust pipes enter the muffler; if there are dash pots on each pipe with lines attached, those are the exhaust gate controls. If you want full-time active exhaust, unhook the lines and plug them and the dash pots to prevent debris from entering--voila!
