V6 2015 Exhaust noise question

Hi everyone,
I'm due to pickup an F-TYPE V6 2015 without the active exhaust.
Regret is now sinking in due to a particular aspect of the noise symphony that wasn't present when test driving the vehicle.
The car did not make any of the snap, crackle and pop sounds only the snort.
Is it due to the way it was driven and all engines regardless of having that exhaust make the snap crackles?
I've struggled to find any YouTube videos without active exhaust on a base model so I can't clarify it.
Could anyone with a base V6 without active exhaust please share their experience and tell me if you can create those noises.
Thank you in advance.

KyleK,
I took delivery of a new 2018 340 HP V-6 in April and the only option it lacked was the switchable active exhaust.
To make a long story short, I could not find any method of retro-fitting that feature, so I took matters into my own hands.
This past weekend I unhooked the vacuum lines to the dash pots that control the exhaust gates and plugged them and the dash pot connection points as well--total time involved was about ten minutes. I now have full-time active exhaust just as I had when I performed the same operation on my Mas Ghibli. Hopefully there will be no negative repercussions with the F-Type, just as there were none with the Ghibli (except for a noticeable drone when the engine was lugging.)

There are software updates that seriously reduced the exhaust noises on some, but not all cars. Best way to get pops and crackles is to use the paddle shifters, run it up above 4-5k RPM, and lift off without shifting. That's the overrun, and when you get the most cracks and burbles.
Note that there's switchable active exhaust, and active exhaust. Without either, I'm not sure what you'll get.

What would be the difference in effects between using the paddle shifters and the gear selector?
