V6 Base LSD Swap

V6 Base LSD Swap
Hi I've been doing research here on swapping an OEM LSD from a V6S into my 18' AT V6 Base and I'm coming up with lots of mixed answers on which part I'll need.
It seems as if the parts themselves aren't very expensive from a salvage yard compared to when most of the initial discussions were made here, but I want to be sure I'm getting the appropriate one for a direct swap.
As far as I can tell the final drive change being <10% difference means it won't have any adverse affects.. so assuming I can get the right diff, it should bolt in and be good to go.
The one that comes up most often and seems like the right one to me is EX53-4A213-AA but from the reading I've done those last two letters seem to have some significance (I just don't know what it is) so I'm not sure enough to drop the $$ on one just yet.
@Cambo I would appreciate your insight on the matter as it seems like you're the man for that kind of thing. Anybody else with any insight would be very much appreciated too.
Thanks!

I see one on eBay that's from a 2017 V6S that also says "YELLOW" and shows a production date of 12/01/16. The Part number suffix is "BA". That car had a manual transmission, which is why I had come across it.
They have a different unit that also says "YELLOW" that is a 3.15 ratio, so I'm really not sure what the significance of that is.

yeah I know there's significance but I'm not sure I have a definitive idea which is which.
ideally I get one that's from a v6s auto and it's a straight swap.. would rather have the 3.31 ratio but don't want to have to put more effort in than just a pumpkin swap

The X300 forum here has a thread on "differential ratio" and someone notes that the color denotes ratio, but I see two F-Type diffs marked YELLOW that show 3.31 and 3.15 so that doesn't seem to apply to this generation. The eBay site I was looking at shows the VINs of the donor cars so that might be useful in your quest.

Ah thanks I hadn't read that one. At this point I am confident (based on VINs of donors) that I've found diffs from mainly 14-17 V6 S Automatics. What I'm not 100% on is whether that's a bolt-in affair for my '18 base V6.

I've found a few that seem to be from 14-17 AT V6 S models, but was hoping for confirmation that it would bolt into my 18' AT V6 Base as a straight swap.

Oh fun, I am doing the exact same thing but with a manual F-Type V6 base in order to get it a bit more track competent. I just (today!) ordered part number T2P1783, which is the rear diff for a manual V6S. I ordered it new however, couldn't find it used in Europe at all (no manual F-Types here).
User Richard Chrimes here on the forum has done the swap with an automatic V6 and has had no issues at all.
However, I thought the part number for the automatic V6S rear differential was T2R4000?
@Unhingd By the way, do you still need a donor diff for the Quaife project? Like I mentioned above, today I finally ordered the V6S manual LSD so hopefully I should soon have one spare (V6 Base manual open diff, T2R18657). In Sweden though, so I am happy to donate the diff if someone pays the shipping cost.

Also quite sure it is T2R4000 that you need.

guess my main concern is that there were no changes between model years since mine is an 18 and I can mostly only find info for 14-17 cars.
I put in an offer for a used one on ebay that I think is the right one.. hopefully the seller accepts, and hopefully it just bolts right in

If that's not the case, I will have one spare differential that I have no use for...

Both T2R1783 (V6S MT, LSD) and T2R18657 (V6 base MT, open) are a 3.31 ratio. Not sure what you mean by AT? My base V6 is also MT.
