I usually average 12-16 mpg when I go for a drive. Does that answer your question? Never upshift under 4000 RPM, and throttle input is limited by traction only. I’ve already blown up 3 (crappy) clutches. Yes... I drive it hard. (Not as hard as tracking it, though)holy crap .... three!!!!
what was the downtime and labor cost to replace?
mine os slipping on hard launches every once in a while.
@Stuart...thanks for explaining the logic behind your decision on your crank pulley size. Stopped me from making an impulse buy...lol.
The clutch on these cars is a known issue. Read the following thread: https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/f...h+satisfaction
Check first with your dealer. if the car has less than 15k miles, they might cover it under warranty as were my first two replacements. I had to pay for the 3rd replacement. The dealer's original labor quote was $2600 and I negotiated them down to $1900. I only had them do it since they were already half way through the project to determine if Jag would cover the cost. The dealer also let me provide the parts which can be had online for 40% off (total of $1350). Next time I'll use my performance shop and custom made parts. Before this, I never went through a clutch in less than 40k miles, and can't remember ever replacing a clutch on any of my racecars.

Thanks for all the info.
I’m not using a handheld programmer.
I have all the soft and hardware to remap vehicles.
Was looking to fit my own crank pulley and download a compatable map so I could drive it to the tuners to get it setup specifically for my engine.
Once a map is downloaded to an ECU it can be copied. I believe the VIN locking is for dedicated handhelds. Unless I’m wrong about that.

You can spec the file with a few options - eco stop/start deactivation, pops & crackles, set up for 200 cell cats etc.

BTW - your handle.... I don't know if you go on the MG Experience site, but my brother is detailing his Ford 200 Straight Six swap into an MGB! Pretty cool swap, it's period and being aluminum with aluminum heads it's actually lighter than the 4 pot.

He could definitely get more. He actually has a Hoslet turbo setup to go on it, but he originally went that route because the Aluminum crossflow heads weren't available than and he needed it to make the power. With the crossflow head guys are easily getting 300ft/lbs which for a newbie on the track I think is plenty.

Another consideration, and I'm saying this for general info because I know you already know this - anything beyond the pulley size we fit you will actually start to run into issues with a very touchy throttle, and secondly will start to overspeed the supercharger - for example the pulley setup you have, as we know is starting to run out of the efficiency range of the compressor. Really, an upper + lower is going to make some more mid range and not much more top end.
It would be similar fitting a slightly larger crank pulley. Really to go more than 450BHP would need a larger charger.

how much would you get out of it with a larger charger? A question I have difficulty to find is how much can you actually can get out of this engine? Can you get 600hp for example or more? And if so what would it take? I understand that people are getting like 1000hp out of V6 supras because of the demand, etc. But is it technically possible to get more than 450-480hp out of the S or 400 version? Thanks!
