A mere 2,455 miles from Perth to Sydney, only about 300 miles short of the distance from LA to NY city (both driving distances)!

There is a nice grey one up here that someone I know owned https://www.carsales.com.au/cars/det...17546355/?Cr=4

It is only 10km away from where I work on the Gold Coast, I could test drive it for you! 16.5MY, it has the sound system that doesnt make you want to hit it with a hammer...

These guys are moderately aggressive with deals as well, I got a good-ish one on the XE.

Well, if he can't show any commitment, maybe he doesn't deserve the car ...

Tha one is a great example of an R but a little out of reach for me. Plus im not sure if i can get used to the two tone red/black seats. Still though, 👌
You should probably go ahead and test drive it anyway haha

So the interior of the R seems to be in great shape. Unfortunately theres a bit of damage to the body. Hopefully you can make out the photos of the marks on the bonnet.

Any panel beaters on here that can give me an idea on what i can do with this? Colour correction?

Chip repair paint will fix those chips to a degree (most recommended is Dr Colorchip) but without professional attention they will never be perfectly fixed / undetectable.
The only way to effect a 100% perfect fix is a complete respray of the bonnet by a professional paint shop.
Also if the bonnet is that badly chipped then there is a good chance the front bumper is just as bad.

It doesnt look like a stone chip to me though. Id say thats something else. Hopefully the front bumper is ok.
Asked for the logbooks and his response is:

"With the km being very low it has only done 1 service and is due for another which we will do at our cost. There is 2 keys with the car also. I cannot send log books as all the servicing logs are actually online. There are no repair receipts for this car as no repairs have been conducted."

Sound suss or?
I thought the f types still do physical log books and not online...

I think mine are online. 2 keys is good. One service in a 4 year old car is not ideal IMO, I get mine done annually anyway. That would be the main thing I would be concerned about.

The scratch on the bonnet is similar to one I had on my XKR which copped a rock bouncing up from a truck. Ultimately that is just bad luck, you could get it any time.

Yep, they look more like scratches than stone chips to me. Albeit fairly deep.
He is correct about the log book servicing, on the F-Type there is no paper/book it's all electronic / on line.
Sign up to tOPIX, the JLR on line system (if you can, here in Oz it's a bit hit and miss!), and it might show service details.
It will also show a Build Sheet which in theory lists all the standard equipment and options the car has.
I say "in theory" because the tOPIX build sheet is known to be less than 100% accurate, sometimes it lists options the car doesn't have and doesn't list some it does have! If you can't get tOPIX to work for you the dealership can send you a print out of it and I would insist on it.
I would be suss about "one service only" even with only 17,xxx km on the clock, the compliance date is June 2014 so servicing should have commenced from then and the mandatory service intervals are 26,000 km or 12 months whichever comes first. Which means it should have had five services by now not just one. I would argue that a service every 3,500 km or so is probably overkill and it is no big deal having had only one service (I would bet it has had two or three at least though), but certain things like brake fluid are more age dependant than mileage dependant. The brake fluid should be changed every three years so that is one thing I would insist on if it hasn't been done recently, I would also insist on an oil and filter change.

Very true! Supposed to be every 12 months if not km wise...
The mark is killing me. Almost a deal breaker but we'll see.

Just awaiting the vin no. and im straight onto topix. Already a member from checking that last guys falsely labelled v6S.

Hoping to see service details and ill definitely be checking the options. Didnt know it can be inaccurate though 😬
Correct brake fluid is probably murky by now.
Ill have to check with them if theyre offering me a JLR service or their in house service. Not keen on the in house service.

Also, turns out it does have a pano roof.

Im sifting through topix, cannot find the option for servicing.

Went through the options and it has "High Performance Audio System" which im assuming isnt the description for meridian surround. Possibly the 10 speaker setup?

Also, unfortunately it states "LESS Blind Spot Monitoring System".

Anyone ideas on where to find servicing?

Your best bet is to insist they renew the brake fluid and do an oil and filter change for no charge (and that they use the proper spec oil).
If they refuse to do so then use it as a bargaining chip to reduce the price even further, then if you buy the car take it to a good independent mechanic who specialises in modern Jags for a full health check. You have said you are not averse to a bit of DIY and oil and filter change and brake fluid change are a piece of cake on the F-Type, no more difficult than any other reasonably modern car.
It's well out of warranty so steer clear of JLR dealerships, they all charge like wounded bulls and while some do good work some are not so good.

Very common for the servicing info not to be updated in tOPIX but as I said before at only 17,5xx km that shouldn't be a problem.
It has the base Meridian system 380W not the 770W surround sound, easy to tell from the front door speakers which show just "Meridian" for the 380W system but "surround" underneath for the 770W system. The 770W system is also shown as "premium sound system" on the build sheet. No biggie not having the 770W system unless you are an audiophile!
No blind spot monitoring is also no biggie, it's not a helluva lot of use really, but the one that IS really useful is the reverse traffic detection which has saved me from a possible minor bingle a number of times. Described as REV TRAFFIC DETECTION/CTA/LCMA on my build sheet.

100%
In all honesty id rather have the price dropped and get it serviced myself. I have independent car dealership trust issues...
Steer clear of JLR, *****...thats the very place i asked them to send it too haha
Looks like i might minus it from the price instead though.
Given what you know about it, whats the absolute highest price you would personally give?...including delivery.

$112k including delivery.
It's OK if they send it to a JLR dealership for brake fluid, oil and filter change providing they do not charge you anything for doing that.

A true audiophile wouldn't settle for a system in any vehicle ...
I have the 380W system and find it at least as good as the 550W B&W system I had in my previous XKR. Though I have to admit I rarely turn it on - the 4 speakers at the back are more than enough entertainment for me!

Don't forget that some markets had a lower-spec system than the 380W (180W?) Not in the US, don't know about Oz.
