If I move on to Club Challenge next year I'll be free to tune the car up to 450 hp.

What is the best way to get the suspension low and good for track use? Do I need to get a set of KW coilovers? Or are H&R springs also good for the track?

I was planned to get Eibach Pro kit springs, but I then I read this thread: https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/f...rience-229980/ and all of a sudden I'm not so keen anylonger.

Reviving this thread as I am really thinking about retrofitting the V6S LSD to my V6 base.
Does anyone know what part numbers I should be getting? Is it enough with the T2R4000E? In that case I found a very nice, brand new one for only 950 GBP on ebay.
It would be amazing if that's all I need.

Will keep you updated. Pretty sure it's possible though, I PM:d with user Richard Chrimes here on the forums as I found him in a previous thread on the same subject. According to him, the diff is a direct swap with about 4.5 hrs of work dropping the rear subframe and installing the diff. No changes to the car configuration file needed.

3.15:1 V6 non-S, 8-speed auto (open)
3.31:1 V6 non-S, 6-speed manual (open)
3.31:1 V6S, 6-speed manual & 8-speed auto RWD (LSD)
And with the autos, the % difference between 3.15 & 3.31 is insignificant enough anyhow.

Thanks for that bit of info.
jlsthlm,
If you follow through with this swap, I'd be interested in acquiring your non-LSD diff. so that I can have the Torsen gear assembly fitted the case.

If you just do the internals, you need to have a shop do it so it's shimmed properly. However, I'm not sure just doing the internals would work for the F-Type anyway.

Yes sure no problem. I have asked the vendor for a shipping quote. If it is reasonable, I'll go ahead and give it a try! If successful you can have my open diff, I'll only need the shipping charges covered.

I haven't done it or seen it done on a F-Type. However, in other cars, it's literally just a "pumpkin" change if you get the whole assembly. The pain is more from the costs than the work.

If I get this:
https://parts.jaguarpalmbeach.com/p/...4/T2R4000.html
Would that be what you call a "pumpkin change"?
Thanks!

You should check the link for the new differential again There is a $525 core charge which means they want the old one or the new one will cost $525 more. Sorry for the news.
