You can have the Flux Capacitor. I'm more interested in an Oscillation Overthruster.

This poor thread sure died an ugly death. It was interesting while it lasted. :-)

On topic? OK. I'm still reluctant to get a tune I cannot replace with stock and return at will, a la Accessport (or RomRaider!), and not because I'm worried about the dealer detecting it. I like having the control. If I decided to get a tune that is optimized for fuel I can only get at the track and I'm doing a track day? Load it for the track, then back to a 91 octane tune for everyday.

Oh, and note the username (spelling notwithstanding). Pity about poor Emilio.

Note that there is a hand-held android based flashing unit in development that will allow exactly what you're looking for.

I worked with RomRaider for a while and got spoiled. I even contributed to the project (open source software). I could edit the tables in any way I wanted, even if it was flat out stupid. I went sensible though, but loved being able to remap the drive-by-wire.

If we *could* add gifs, this is where I would add Homer gurgling.

Here's a thriftier one that will charge your phone and block just about everything by your shifter to **** you off:
Amazon.com: Flux Capacitor USB Car Charger - Back To The Future: Electronics Amazon.com: Flux Capacitor USB Car Charger - Back To The Future: Electronics

That's actually fun.

It's true that it would be interesting to mount an LCD screen for dashcams or something and then somehow turn that into a flux capacitor. =)

OH WAIT I don't wanna be Off Topic. Back OnT.

Unhingd,

Are you planning on installing the lower pulley with more free-flowing headers or are you just going to use the stock headers?

I (and my tuner) would prefer to do the lower pulley and a set of long tube headers at the same time. Unfortunately, I am unaware of any that are currently fully tested and in production. A lot of talk by a couple of performance vendors, but not much action yet.

Our goal is to return most of the nanny parameters back to as close to OEM as possible and rely more on mechanically improved flow to secure the additional torque.

Ok, now that the clutch issue is resolved, phase II of this project begins on May 31. The Eurotoys +18 mm pulley kit (crank pulley, belt, idler) is scheduled for installation with a corresponding tune. Stay tuned. (Pun not intended, but it works)

So does Eurotoys, or anybody else for that matter have a V6 Tune? I haven't heard from Velocity since I said I had a Dyno and a car available.
