So I'm curious how a muffler delete would sound on a V8 F-Type. The only reason why I'm curious about doing it is because I'm getting a new exhaust system anyway, quicksilver most likely. I'd like to hear that V8 Rumble when my windows are down at Cruise speeds. Stock sounds amazing, but I'd like to hear a little bit more out of it when I'm cruising. So I wonder how the V8 would sound if you remove the rear muffler or the center with a straight through system. Would that get rid of the crackles and Pops though? What causes them? Interestingly enough, the capristo exhaust is the loudest V8 aftermarket exhaust you can get, hands down. But even that has a muffler. Same with Quicksilver or velocity AP and so on. So to hear a V8 without a rear Muffler, I'm guessing would be insanely loud?
I removed the rear mufflers on my XJ and it was awful. Loud, obnoxious, and non-stop drone. I went straight back to the shop and had them reinstalled.
My old XKR had it too, it was so fun to drive. It's funny because once I had it straight piped I didn't drive as fast. Drone only got to me for about 2 days since I wasn't used to it. But it was really cool to be on the freeway cruising at 65 still hearing the rumble.
Go with the either the quick silver or velocity ap catback. I have velocity ap sport cats and quicksilver catback. Very loud when you get on it, but drone isn't too bad.

The guy across the road from me has an AMG with straight pipes. I want to set up a catapult to fling my dog's **** at him.
The beauty of the F-Type exhaust, which is essentially a straight through in Loud mode (the pipes that go through on the outside don't go through muffling) is that it can go quiet. No need to wake up the neighbors when you come home late or go out early.
The Quicksilver is too raspy, overpowering the growl. Somehow, even with the straight pipes in valve open mode, VAP was able to maintain a refined growl while keeping the fireworks during decel.

this 100% ^^^
You will not want it louder with the VAP pipes when the valves are open...its basically strait piped if you have no cats like mine, with cats it sounds sooo nice...and its still loud.
